WHAT: Largest shipment of Girl Scouts Cookies being sent to Iraq and Afghanistan 3 Years Running!
WHY:

This Saturday the Girls Scouts of Southern Nevada will be shipping over 11,220 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies to our Troops in Iraq andAfghanistan. This will be the largest shipments in the Country's History to a War Zone third year running.

The community can come out and personally ship a box of cookies from themselves and put a personal message of thanks.

Soldiers, Marines, Sailors and Airmen crave a taste from home. Girl Scout Cookies help fill that void. Defending Freedom.Net, a local non-profit, is in constant communications with the troops on the ground and requests for Girl Scout Cookies is at an all time high.

Toni Carey from the Girl Scout Frontier Council and all the Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada asked local residents if they'd like to donate a box to be sent to the troops. The Las Vegas community responded by donating over 11,220 boxes.

The boxes will be shipped via priority mail on Saturday, by a donation from Nevada Benefits Corporation, Palms Casino, Brigade Quartermasters, Quality Ford and other local sponsors. The shipments should take two weeks to arrive in the Middle East
